4048 was chartered in the City of Seal Beach in 1945 and has been active ever
since. The Auxiliary was chartered in Feb. 2004.
The Seal Beach Post 4048 meets at 6 PM with a social hour with our Auxiliary. Meetings start @ 7 PM. The Post is located on the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station. There are 94 members of which about 15 attend regular meetings. The Auxiliary has 45 members. We meet in separate rooms. Most post members are WWII Veterans with a few Korean, Vietnam and Desert Storm Vets.
The main entrance into the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station (Our meeting place) is off of Seal Beach Blvd, half way between Westminster Blvd and Pacific Coast Highway. Enter the Main Gate at Forrestall (Signal Light). Check in with Sentry at the gate and present picture identification. Proceed straight for one block, turn left to dead end, turn left again until next dead end. Our meeting hall is in building Six (6), a one story white bldg located at the intersection of the last dead end street.
