POST MEETING opened at 7:00 P.M. by Commander
Robert Coronado in Bldg #6 with the normal formalities.
Officer of the Day Robert Moore introduced Stephanie
Alvarado as a new member and Matt Walker as a member visitor
to our post. Both gave a brief history of their military service. Larry
Kirkham, District 2 Officer was also introduced and commented about his
audit of our books. Larry congratulated our QM on his good work for our post.
Commander Bob and QM Dave gave details of the
meeting with the NWS Jack Gordon and the renewal of our yearly contract for
meetings in bldg #6. Progress report was also made on the Los Alamitos
clubhouse and golf course.
QM Dave reported on the Sept 06 financial statement
and asked all to review.
QM Dave informed all that we need 12 new members this
year to reach our 100% goal. Dan Whitney signed up as a new life member.
QM Dave commented on plans for the 11:00 A.M. Nov 11th
Veterans Day Ceremony and encouraged all to assist loading and unloading of the
chairs. Veterans Day Poppies were dist and all were encouraged to turn in their
proceeds on or before Nov 11th.
Adjutant Wayne commented on our post attendance at
the VA Hospital October 19th retirement ceremony for Jim Bradford.
We are proud to announce that Jim has been presented with the VA Hearts
& Hands award.
Dan Schmaltz has our post web site up and running

Flu Shots are available at the VA Hospital, Out
Patient Clinic, Room 132.
Seal Beach Christmas parade is scheduled for Dec 1st
and our post will have a brief mtg, by the pier at 6:00 P.M. prior to the
parade. All members were encouraged to attend
Social Breakfast sign up sheet was dist for the Wed,
Nov 1st, 9:00 A.M. at Hennesseys on Main St.
Rod Carpenter was nominated and elected by member
vote as our Two Year trustee.
Robert Moore was appointed as our Officer of the
Day.
National Home Ceremony was held in the usual manner
at closing.

Tues Nov 28, 2006 refreshments by
Auxiliary & L. Lerno
No meeting in December.
